Building a 22 MW Solar Array on an Accelerated Schedule for a National Electric Utility
Pike Renewables constructed a 60,000-panel solar array in Marathon, New York, for a national electric utility that wanted to provide clean energy to local homes, dairy farms and small businesses. The array connects directly to the grid to serve local customers.
Handling all aspects of construction, Pike installed the foundations and panels, performed the electrical work on site and completed the grid tie-in. Pike also negotiated an accelerated timetable so the utility could reach critical milestones and meet its project incentive deadlines. Completing the installation by the end of the year took extensive coordination and teamwork.
Fast installation and quality construction kept the utility on its timetable, with the array providing over 22 MW of electricity directly to customers.
